COGNIMAN: - Technology should serve society
We have to make sure that we can shape solutions that strengthen both the industry and the people it impacts, in an ethical way. That was the main concern at the COGNIMAN meeting in Rome this week.
-We must ensure that automation through robotics and AI is developed in line with ethical principles and the EU AI Act. Technology should serve society, not be implemented carelessly. Through transparency and responsibility, we can shape solutions that strengthen both the industry and the people it impacts, says Nadia Handeland, industry specialist in Eyde Cluster, after coming home from the Cogniman meeting in Rome.
For two days, the project group explored the ethical dimensions through dedicated workshops and open discussions—ensuring that as we advance technologically, we do so responsibly and thoughtfully.
-A heartfelt thank you to all our partners for an inspiring and productive meeting in Rome. The past days of discussions and workshops have been invaluable, reinforcing our commitment to ethical and responsible technological advancement. A special thanks to Deep Blue for an insightful and educational workshop—it was truly enriching. Their insights and collaboration make all the difference, and we look forward to continuing this journey together, says Handeland.
