Will lead an important group in EU
Christophe Pinck at the Eyde Cluster will lead a European working group on circular economy and material recycling.
The working group is newly established within the partnership platform Process4Planet, where the European Commission is a partner.
Opportunity to influence
-We have the opportunity to influence, engage, and provide input, and we also gain rapid access to information. Especially since we are not members of the EU, we need to find other channels, says Christophe Pinck about the benefits for the Norwegian process industry of being closely involved in EU decision-making processes and working groups that are hands-on with issues important to the process industry and circularity.
The working group will focus on roadmaps and policy instruments for transitioning to a greener industry.
Companies can provide input
Pinck will lead the working group for the next two years. On April 24, a kick-off meeting will be held, where between 38–40 participants from various countries will discuss the future direction and strategy for the process industry.
-It is exciting to lead this. There is a high level of expertise across the different groups, where the European Commission also collaborates with us as partners in the A.SPIRE partnership, says Pinck, who also encourages companies in the Eyde Cluster to get in touch with him to provide input to the working group.
