The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for Morrow

Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre laid the first foundation stone for Morrow's battery factory in Agder Material Park on Monday morning in pouring rain. This did not prevent the celebration of the historic start of a new industrial adventure.

The muddy site where the foundation stone for the battery factory was laid only made the industrial adventure more real. A new industry will be built. And both local people, school children, the mayor and the prime minister join in the celebration together with Morrow batteries.

The Prime Minister and the children covered the stone

- Today we are going to establish and help to see that there will be a new large future-oriented workplace that can both help save the climate on the planet and provide jobs for people, create good local communities, and take Norway forward. It is simply a historic day, so congratulations on that, first of all, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre began his speech with, before he, with the good help of two children, placed and dug over the foundation stone together with today's newspaper.

- Never arranged for something this big before

- Laying the foundation stone marks that we are finally getting started. Today we see the physical proof that the battery factory in Arendal is becoming something, says mayor Robert Cornels Nordli, and talked about the long journey to where we are today, with a giga establishment the municipality has never before facilitated.

As mayor, he is very happy to have achieved this.
